Studio3 Americas

FAQ

24 questions in 6 sections, answered for what the protocol does today. Each question has its own anchor, such as /faq#gambling.

Basics

  • What is Studio3?

A protocol for venture progress. Ventures commit objectives in public Arenas, each with its success criteria, deadline and reward fixed before the work starts. A validator records the verdict, and every outcome, success or failure, stays public and permanent.

  • Who is it for?

Studios, incubators and accelerators that run ventures in the open; the founders who build those ventures; and anyone who wants to follow a venture's record.

  • Do I need to sign in?

To open the Arenas, ventures and studios, yes. These public pages need nothing.

  • What are Sender, Anchor and Echo?

The three seats on a venture. A Sender builds it, an Anchor is seated to judge it, and an Echo backs it in public and is never on its team. Seats are held per venture: the same account can be a Sender on one venture and an Echo on another.

  • Can I open an Arena for my venture?

Not by yourself yet. Studio3 sets up each venture's Arenas and objectives with it; there is no self-serve way to open one.

Objectives and verdicts

  • What is an Arena?

A contest a venture opens. It holds the objectives the venture has committed to and the reward on each. A Grand Arena is a phase gate: its objectives decide whether the venture moves into its next phase.

  • Who records the verdict?

Studio3 staff record every verdict today, against the criteria declared up front, and every verdict names who recorded it. Anchors are seated on ventures to judge them; verdicts recorded by Anchors are not built yet.

  • What happens when an objective fails?

Nothing is hidden. A failed objective stays public and permanent, shown as fully as a successful one, and the reward committed to it is never released.

  • What happens when a deadline passes with no verdict?

The objective reads Awaiting validation until a verdict is recorded. If nothing was submitted by the deadline, the verdict is Expired.

  • Can a verdict be disputed?

An objective can be marked Disputed. It then waits on a decision, in public, until one is recorded. There is no way to file a dispute from the app yet.

Rewards

  • How do rewards work?

A reward is committed to one objective before the work starts: real USDC, or a non-cash item. Released on verified success. The escrow that will hold a reward until then is not built yet.

  • Is there a Studio3 token?

No. Nothing is bought, staked or burned, and no page offers a position to take.

  • Is this gambling?

No. There is nothing to wager and no payout to win. A reward is committed to an objective up front and is to be released only if that objective is verified as achieved.

Forecast and markets

  • Can I forecast an objective?

Not yet. Forecast is planned as a free call on whether an objective will be validated, building a public accuracy record. Nothing will be staked on it.

  • What is a Signal?

A planned free action: an Echo's public statement of belief in a venture. It will never be scored. It is not built yet.

  • Is Studio3 a prediction market?

Not today. Every objective is written to resolve - one claim, one deadline, one recorded verdict - which is what a forecast or a market settles against. Forecast is the first thing planned to use it. Any prediction market would be external and optional.

  • Is there a leaderboard?

No. Nothing can rank anyone fairly yet: a ranking needs forecast accuracy as well as verified outcomes, and Forecast is not built.

Technical

  • Is the record on a blockchain?

No. No Studio3 contract is deployed. Arenas, objectives and verdicts are kept in Studio3's database.

  • Can software agents read it?

Yes. Every object and figure on a page carries stable data attributes - its kind, its id, its state and its value - so an agent reads a page without reading its pixels.

  • Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Every page is laid out for a phone, a tablet held either way, and a desktop.

  • What do you collect?

The Privacy Policy says what is collected and why. The storage notice, shown on your first visit and under Cookies and storage in the footer, lists what the sign-in provider stores in your browser.
